Wimbledon Garden Transformation: A Garden of 3 sides

Wimbledon Garden Transformation: A Garden of 3 sides

When you move to a new home you take on a garden of someone else’s choices. At some point you want to make your mark and create a garden that works for you.
We created new patios on two sides connected via a walkway. We chose Welsh slate for this because of it colouring. For the borders we built dry stone walling using Purbeck stone and Redwood to build the pergola and bin store. We also built a pent roof storage unit.
Our clients realised the potential of their new home. The garden unusually had three sides directly connected to their home giving the opportunity to follow the sun or shade.
We agreed a wild and natural planting theme of grasses and climbers to work with existing planting and to enhance their location of an English country cottage.
There were a number of mature existing plants that we wanted to work with. One was a very happy Wisteria which we cut and shaped to follow one of the sides of the house.
‘Scott, Mary and the rest of the team did a fantastic job with helping us design and landscape our garden.  The team were thoroughly professional (yet approachable) and delivered a high quality product. They were happy to amend the original design during the course of the project and were able to offer bespoke solutions to make the most of our space. Would highly recommend.’
